Wednesday, Wal-Mart Stores Inc. announced it ended its relationship with Paula Deen.
Director of Corporate Communications for Walmart, Danit Marquardt told News 3:
"We are ending our relationship with Paula Deen Enterprises and we will not place new orders beyond those already committed. We will work with suppliers to address existing inventories and agreements."
Paula Deen-branded products first arrived on U.S. Walmart shelves back in 2011.
Food Network, QVC, Ceasars Entertainment Corporation and Smithfield Foods have severed ties with Deen following the controversy.
