    A powerful storm system spawned a tornado and left behind a trail of damaged through in several Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia Counties.The worst of the damage appears to be in the Gray and Rock Springs area of Washington County where viewers captured video and pictures of what appeared to be a tornado.

Cancelations on Wednesday, July 3 


SULLIVAN COUNTY, TN

The Kingsport Mets
game and fireworks show has been canceled. Tonight's game vs. Greeneville Astros has been postponed due to inclement weather. The game will be rescheduled as part of a doubleheader Sunday, July, 7th.  First pitch is at 5pm with the gates opening at 4:30pm.  The second game will start 30 minutes immediately following the completion of the first game. The fireworks will be rescheduled later in the season.


HAWKINS COUNTY, TN 


The Expecting God's Help event scheduled for 6:30pm tonight (Wednesday) has been moved indoors to the First Baptist Church on Washington Street in Rogersville. The Thursday, July 4th Parade will go on as planned "Rain or Shine".  The other Thursday events will depend somewhat on the weather. The Friday, July 5th Cruise In and Car Show in downtown Rogersville will go on as planned at 5pm "Rain or Shine". The Saturday, July 6th Celebration featuring Jana Kramer, the Newsboys and the Huge Fireworks show at the Rogersville City Park will proceed as scheduled!

CARTER COUNTY, TN 

The Elizabethton Twins announced it is canceling its game and fireworks show tonight. 

Central Community Christian Church has canceled their fireworks display scheduled for tonight because of weather, it has been rescheduled for August 4.  Their church is in Carter County on Hopson Road at the Smalling Road intersection. 

BRISTOL, VA 

The Bristol White Sox have announced that due to inclement weather throughout the region, this evening's games with the Pulaski Mariners, and the Fireworks Night show set to follow the games, have been rained out.  Per Appalachian League policy, the two games will be rescheduled as part of doubleheaders, when the team meet at the end of July in Pulaski. Fans with ticket stubs from Monday's rain-shortened game may redeem them for admission at the Sox-Cardinals game in Bristol on July 13. The Sox anticipate that the much-anticipated Fireworks show will be rescheduled for a date later in the season. After a three game series in Greeneville, the Sox will return home Sunday evening at 6 pm to face to Danville Braves.
