CARTER COUNTY, TN (WJHL) -

The Carter County Sheriff's Office tells News Channel 11 a father along with a man and a woman are facing charges related to methamphetamine after a fatal accident last fall.

On the evening of October 18, deputies and highway patrol responded to an accident on Highway 19E between Elizabethton and Hampton.

Two children, Dalton Moffitt, 2, and his brother Jonathan Nye, 7, were killed in the crash. Their mother, the driver, Katrina Nye died a few days later at Johnson City Medical Center of critical injuries.

Investigators say before the fatal accident, the children's father and stepfather, Robert James Moffitt, along with Johnny Kay Hensley and Keri Ellen Baird bought Pseudoephedrine from a CVS Pharmacy in order to make methamphetamine. Authorities say there was an altercation between Katrina and Robert in the parking lot just before the accident.

The Carter County Special Operations Unit charged Moffitt, Hensley and Baird with promotion of methamphetamine. They were able to apprehend Moffitt and Hensley, but they have not been able to locate Baird.

If you know of Baird's whereabouts, please call the Carter County Sheriff's Office at (423) 542-2350.

Investigators say Baird has addresses in Elizabethton and Bristol.
