FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. -

Police in Fayetteville are looking into three robberies in which police say the suspect was armed with a hammer.

Police say a woman entered a Payless Shoe store on Ramsey Street Friday, July 5 just before 7 p.m. The suspect approached the clerk armed with a hammer and demanded money from the register. The suspect then fled the store on foot.

The woman in this incident is described as white, with blonde hair, 5 feet 6 inches tall and about 40 years old.

On July 7, a white female wearing a black helmet with a clear face shield and sunglasses entered the Family Dollar on Bragg Boulevard shortly before 9 p.m. The woman was armed with a hammer and demanded money from the clerk at the register.

According to the clerk, the suspected said, "I'm sorry" as she fled from the store. She was seen driving away from the scene on a black moped.

On July 8 at approximately 6:45 a.m., a white female wearing a dark-colored helmet with a clear face shield entered the Burger King at 2820 Bragg Boulevard armed with a hammer. The woman demanded money from the safe. Employees were able to get away from the suspect without being harmed. The woman was seen fleeing the restaurant on a black moped.

The suspect was once again described as a white female with blonde hair, about 5 feet 6 inches tall and about 40 years old.

Police are asking for the public's help in identifying the suspect in connection to the robberies.
