Kia Motors Manufacturing Georgia, Inc. (KMMG) provided $25,000 to the Troup County Board of Tax Assessors on Wednesday. The funding is part of the plant's $400,000 overall commitment to the Board of Tax Assessors and will be used to fund additional manpower at the board's discretion.
"We hope that the additional funding and increased manpower will benefit the Board of Tax Assessors in the years to come," said Randy Jackson, KMMG's vice president of human resources and administration.
"We thank KMMG for today's contribution and commitment," said Wayne Bartley, chairman of the Troup County Board of Tax Assessors. "This additional funding will go a long way toward making sure the citizens of this county can continue to have confidence in all property valuations."
