A pair of Auburn senior special-teamers was named to two separate award watch lists on Wednesday.
Senior Cody Parkey is in the hunt for the Lou Groza College Place-Kicker Award, and punter Steven Clark was named to the Ray Guy Award Watch List.
Parkey finds himself on the list for the second straight year after converting 11 of 14 field goal attempts in 2012. He was Auburn's scoring leader and was perfect on extra points, making all 27, running his career total to 70-of-71, including a current streak of 51 straight.
"Being on the Lou Groza preseason watch list is a huge honor," Parkey said in a release. "But at the end of the day, it's about being on the list at the end of the season and I'm training hard and looking forward to a great 2013 season."
Clark saw only five of his punts returned in 2012 while averaging 39.8 yards per kick. He had 15 downed inside the 20-yard line. Six punts went longer than 50 yards, including his season-long of 54 against LSU.
"It's always an honor to be mentioned among the best at your craft," Clark said. "I'm really looking forward to putting my best on the field this season and helping my team to what I feel can be a special year."
