KINGSPORT, TN (WJHL) -

A suspicious odor coming from a motel room led to a meth lab bust in Kingsport Wednesday afternoon.

Kingsport Vice Detectives arrested John Wilson and Crystal Knowles at the West Side Inn.

Wilson answered the door and acknowledged that he had rented the hotel room. Knowles initially fled on foot to the balcony; however, she was quickly apprehended.

A search of the room uncovered multiple "one-pot" style Methamphetamine labs, as well as enough Pseudoephedrine to manufacture at least a gram of meth.

The police report also said Knowles had prescription drugs without a prescription and pipes used to smoke methamphetamine.

Police say Knowles tried to flee from officers by running to the balcony, but she was quickly arrested.

Police say they had to quarantine four hotel rooms while authorities decontaminated the scene.
