The Southeastern Conference put 16 players on the 2013 Bronko Nagurski Trophy Watch List; the universities of Georgia and Alabama accounted for more than 25 percent of those players.
Georgia senior Damian Swann was named to the list after leading the Bulldogs in interceptions last season with four. He started all 14 games, and intercepted two passes, including one returned for 46 yards, in the Dogs' 45-31 win over Nebraska in the Capital One Bowl.
Alabama put four players on the list: defensive backs Deion Belue and Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, and linebackers Adrian Hubbard and C.J. Mosley.
Georgia Tech senior defensive end Jeremiah Attaochu was also named. He made the switch from outside linebacker to the defensive line this spring.
