Police release video of Johnson City armed robbery

Update on Tuesday, July 16th:

 

Johnson City Police hope newly obtained surveillance video will lead them to the suspect in the armed robbery of the Sunoco convenience store last Friday.

Here's the report that aired on WJHL News Channel 11 at 7.

 

 


 

 

The Johnson City Police Department is searching for the man who robbed the Sunoco on Bristol Hwy at gun point. 

Police say a victim stated that a white male entered the store, brandished a pistol, demanded money from the register, then fled the scene. 

The suspect is described as being between 5'8 and 6'0 tall with facial hair and light colored eyes.  He was wearing jeans, a blue long sleeve shirt and a baseball hat.  He also covered his face during the Robbery. 

Anyone with any information regarding the identity of this suspect is asked to contact the Johnson City Police Department Criminal Investigation Division at 423-434-6166 or to remain anonymous, Crime Stoppers at 434-6158.
