AUBURN, Ala. -

Former Auburn point guard Brian Greene, Jr. has signed with Florida Gulf Coast University.

Greene, Jr. announced the move on Twitter Friday afternoon, and the school confirmed the move in a video announcement as well.

The rising sophomore left the Tigers on May 1 to make room for incoming transfer Jerome Seagers from Rutgers, who has since transferred from Auburn back to Rutgers.

Greene, Jr. appeared in 28 games last season, averaging 2.9 points per game. His transfer comes a day after Shaq Johnson was dismissed from the team for an arrest on possession of marijuana charges.

With Johnson and Greene, Jr. gone, Jordon Granger, Asauhn Dixon-Tatum, KT Harrell and former Shaw Raider Chris Denson are the only remaining players who signed with Tony Barbee prior to this year.
