The man charged with murdering his 2-year-old step-son pleads not guilty at his first court appearance Saturday morning. Detectives say Randall Keller was the last person to see his step-son alive.
Keller says he called 911 after he says he found the child unresponsive in his bedroom around 3 a.m. on June 7th. the police say the child had a fractured skull which is not consistent with Keller's story.
The child's mother, who is Keller's live-in ex-wife, told police she did not agree with the discipline Keller used on her toddler. Detectives also testified that Keller and the woman got into an argument earlier that evening where Keller kicked in a door.
