RALEIGH, N.C. -

A Raleigh non-profit has been awarded more than a $500,000 in grant money to help homeless vets.

But it still needs to find places for them to live.

Congressman David Price helped secure the grant for Passage Home, and spoke about it at a town meeting today.

So far the organization has found seven homes for veterans.

But Passage Home is looking to do more.

"The objective is  for me to be able to have my own home and a job so I can stand on my own two feet again," said veteran Bill Winstead.

The $631,000 grant provides enough funds for three years.
