NC Theatre Conservatory's IN THE HEIGHTS Interview & Performance

North Carolina Theatre's Master Summer Theatre Arts School presents IN THE HEIGHTS, playing from August 8-11 at the Conservatory Theatre.

Director/Choreographer Tito Hernandez discusses the production and the amazing talent in North Carolina.

English Bernhardt (Vanessa), Reed Shannon (Sonny), and Collin Yates (Usnavi) will perform a song from IN THE HEIGHTS, following an interview with English and Tito. ENGLISH BERNHARDT (Vanessa) feels so blessed to be a part of the STAS production of In the Heights! NCT credits include: Legally Blonde the Musical (Ensemble), Evita (Mistress), Hairspray (Tammy/Ensemble), Annie (Annie), Cinderella (Ensemble), The Sound of Music (Louisa), Annie Get Your Gun (Nellie), and The Music Man (Amaryllis). English is a rising senior at Ravenscroft and lives in Wake Forest.

REED SHANNON (Sonny) is a native of NC, a member of Baptist Grove Church in Raleigh, and is a rising seventh grader at Wakefield Middle School and lives in Wake Forest. He acts, dances, and sings each day knowing the world is watching and is confident that someday he shall be called to perform on Broadway! He loves to read and travel, and likes playing baseball.

COLLIN YATES (Usnavi) is a student at Millbrook High School where he is a member of the drama club and Madrigals chorus. Favorite roles include: My Fair Lady (Jamie); All Shook Up ( Sidekick's sidekick); The Who's Tommy (cousin Kevin); To Kill a Mockingbird (Dill); The Best Christmas Pageant Ever (Charlie); Little Shop of Horrors (Seymour); and The Wizard Of Oz (The Lion). Collin attends Millbrook High School and lives in Raleigh.
