GREENVILLE, N.C. -

9 On Your Side has learned that JH Rose High School's interim head football coach Dave Wojtecki has been suspended for five days.

His suspension reportedly follows the circulation of a photo on Instagram from the Rose High School locker room that some found offensive. The photo shows a message painted on the locker room wall, "Family, Unity, Discipline, Heart, and Commitment," that some claim, when one takes the first letters of each word, represents an acronym derogatory toward a rival team.

Rose officials said the suspension is an administrative decision. The school district issued a statement Thursday morning about the suspension, which follows in its entirety:

"Earlier this week, school system officials were made aware of an incident at J.H. Rose High School that does not reflect the sportsmanship and respect that all coaches, players, and fans are expected to display in Pitt County athletics. District leaders contacted administrators at the school, and the school's administration handled all discipline related to the matter. We are confident that everyone involved understands the reasons for the discipline, and we will all move forward with a successful fall sports season."

The school system went on to say there would be no further comments on the matter.

UPDATE: 9 on your side Sports has leared that Coach Wojtecki was hospitalized today after a stress test. He was resting comfortably Thursday night after undergoing a procedure earlier in the day. Wojtecki was expected to return to work Monday, Aug. 5.

The school system said the message on the locker room wall has since been removed.
