The Columbus Blue Devils are ready to turn the ship around in 2013 after going winless a season ago.
Despite having just six seniors on the roster, Phil Marino's team is deep on experience. Seventeen of 21 starters return, and Marino says some of his juniors have close to 20 games of varsity experience under their belts.
"These kids are prepared as well as anybody in this city, in this region," Marino said. "It's just when they cross those white lines, they have to play the game, and they know that, so if they want to go out and they want to perform and do the things they need to do to win, that's what they're going to have to do."
Columbus opens the season Saturday, Aug. 31 against Brookstone at Kinnett Stadium.
