The legendary Wallace Davis will be inducted into the Lincoln University hall of fame in Missouri.
The former Carver football coach had friends and family with him to celebrate his 70th birthday on Saturday.
He coached in Muscogee County for nearly 40 years. Wallace says Carver's success was because of many people besides himself.
"When you win, it doesn't always come because of what one person does. It comes because of a period of time. Carver has done a good job building a legacy in football to be where it is today," said Davis.
One thing Wallace takes pride in is the pipeline created from carver to UGA. He says ever since Daryll Jones went to UGA in the early 80s, Georgia has looked to Carver for athletes.
