LaGrange man shot during argument dies

LaGRANGE, Ga. -

An arrest has been made after a man was found shot on a LaGrange street Friday morning.

Douglas Cameron, 21, of LaGrange, was found with a single gunshot wound to the back around 3:45 a.m. on McGregor Street. Officers provided emergency medical aid until emergency medical personnel arrived on scene. Cameron succumbed to his injuries at Columbus Regional around 10 a.m.

The initial investigation revealed Cameron was involved in an argument with Thomas Sessions, police say. After the shooting, Sessions ran away on foot. He was arrested and charged with murder a short time later. He was taken to the Troup County Jail.
