Teen in custody in connection with Fayetteville homicide

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. -

A 15-year-old Has turned himself into authorities in connection with a homicide in Fayetteville on Monday night.

Dequan Lawler turned himself in to detectives Thursday night.

On Tuesday, detectives arrested and charged Justin Quavon Shumpert, 18, in connection with the shooting death of 25-year-old Quinton Solomon. Police also arrested Jonathan Galloway, 20, and him with first degree murder, robbery with a dangerous weapon in Solomon's death.

Police were called to the Scotland Drive home around 10:30 p.m. on Monday. When officers arrived on scene, Solomon was found with a gunshot wound. He was transported to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

Shumpert is charged with first degree murder, robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy.
