Aerospace company Pratt & Whitney is relocating work to Columbus and is projected to add 45 jobs in Columbus initially, with more possible as they progress.
The company will fill a speculative building in Muscogee Technology Park to service fighter jet engines.
The 105,620 square-foot facility is projected to open in early 2014.
Pratt & Whitney's aircraft engines are widely used in both civil aviation and military aviation. Its headquarters are in East Hartford, Connecticut, USA and is considered one of the "big three" aero-engine manufacturers.
