Smiths Station High School showed the largest improvement in its ACT Reasoning Test scores this year compared to last, according to local school numbers obtained by WRBL News 3 media partner the Ledger-Enquirer. The newspaper requested data from several local schools and heard back from a handful of them.
The exam tests students in the area of reading, English, math and science. Local numbers still trail that of the national average.
Muscogee County was only able to provide a district average and could not break down the numbers school-by-school, the paper says.
