OPELIKA, Ala. -

An Opelika car dealer is hoping the $2,000 reward they are now offering in connection with the theft of their merchandise will lead to an arrest.

The reward was announced Friday, a week after $2,600 in tires and rims was removed from a 2008 Chevrolet Avalanche parked outside Glynn Smith Chevrolet, located at 600 Columbus Parkway. Police say an individual or individuals entered the property between midnight and 12:30 a.m. on August 19. All four tires and rims were taken.

Anyone with information is encouraged to call the Opelika Police Department Investigative Services Division at (334) 705-5220.
