NC mother, daughter to collect college degrees

MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. -

A North Carolina mother and daughter are taking a break in their busy lives to collect college diplomas together.
    
Darlene Oakley of Mebane and her daughter, Elizabeth Clayton of Caswell County, are set to attend commencement ceremonies together at Mount Olive College on Saturday.
    
Oakley graduates with a bachelor's degree in nursing. Clayton gets a bachelor's degree in business administration.
    
The private, liberal arts college will graduate about 200 students at its summer commencement. The Baptist-sponsored school is based in Mount Olive and has other locations in New Bern, Wilmington, Goldsboro, Research Triangle Park, Washington and Jacksonville.
