Hundreds of people said a final farewell to a Georgia high school football player who died after being hurt in a scrimmage.

Sixteen-year-old De'Antre Turman died after breaking his neck during a scrimmage between Creekside High School and Benjamin Banneker High School in College Park last week.

Students and teachers were among the crowds at the funeral Saturday morning in Austell. Friends said Turman was a strong-willed person with strong faith.

Turman attended Creekside High School. He had a scholarship offer from the University of Kentucky.
