Police checkpoint in Fayetteville yields multiple arrests

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. -

A police checkpoint on Saturday night in Fayetteville led to multiple arrests, police said Monday.

The Fayetteville Police Department,  State Highway Patrol, Hope Mills Police Department, Spring Lake Police Department and Probation & Parole had the checkpoint  on Hope Mills Road near the Queensdale Drive intersection. 

Police said the citations from Saturday included:

  • Five arrests for underage DWI
  • 32 citations for Driving with a Revoked License
  • 19 citations for No Operators License
  • Three citations for Open Container (Alcohol)
  • 45 citations for Inspection / Registration Violations
  • Four citations for Misdemeanor Drug Violations
  • Three citations for Seatbelt / Child Restraint Violations
  • Two Wanted Persons arrested
