Sunshine, Mostly Dry Ahead

Map for Tuesday afternoon Map for Tuesday afternoon

We're going to have one more shot at some rain before our weather dries out a bit for the upcoming work week.

Our area managed to miss the showers and thunderstorms today.  A large complex of storms in northern Georgia and Alabama this morning served to stabilize the atmosphere just to the south of it, so we wound up missing the rain as well as any later thunderstorm development in the more stable air.

Later tonight we could see redevelopment to the north as a cold front eases its way south into Alabama, or more likely we'll have scattered showers and storms during the day on Tuesday.

By Tuesday night the front should move through and drier air will take over our weather through the rest of the week, eliminating our rain chances for a few days.
