UPDATE: BTPD says hit and run suspect drives light gray car with maroon fender

BRISTOL, TN (WJHL) -

Bristol, Tennessee Police have released a description of a car involved in a hit and run case.

Police were called to the 300 block of Old Thomas Bridge Road just before 5:15 p.m. Tuesday.

Witnesses told police a woman was walking in an east-bound lane when a vehicle crossed the center line and hit her.

Police said the pedestrian was airlifted to Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport. Once the victim arrived at the hospital it was determined her injuries were non-life threatening and she was treated and released.

Police didn't release the name of the victim.

Witnesses told police the car was light gray in color with a maroon driver's side front fender.
