Posted: Updated:

Traces of sarin gas were found in clothing and soil samples taken from Damascus, Syria, CNN reports citing the British prime minister's office. The samples were collected and analyzed after an August 21 attack killed more than 1,400, according to U.S. officials.

President Obama is expected to address Syria while in Russia visiting with other country officials at the G20 conference. Secretary of State John Kerry is traveling to Europe for meetings on the ongoing crises in Syria and Egypt and efforts to negotiate a peace accord between Israel and the Palestinians.
