WRBL Athlete of the Week: Justin Crawford

Posted: Updated:
COLUMBUS, Ga. -

The inaugural WRBL Athlete of the Week for the 2013 school year is Hardaway running back Justin Crawford.

Crawford ran for more than 100 yards and three touchdowns in the Hawks' 51-18 season-opening win over Jordan on Thursday, Aug. 29.

"It was just some good blocking and pulling by my linemen," Crawford said. "Like, Desmond Barmore, he did an excellent job."

The junior already has a 300-yard game on his resume from last year, and set his sights even higher for 2013.

"My personal goal is to reach 2,000 rushing yards," he said. "The team goal is to make it to the playoffs."

Crawford and the Hawks face off with Columbus Friday night at Kinnett Stadium.
