COLUMBUS, Ga. -

West Point Lake is a busy destination this time of year for people looking to fish, boat, or water ski. But some flocking to the popular parks around the lake may be impacted by some road repair work.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at West Point Project is repairing potholes and cracked pavement in several of the more popular parks around the reservoir.

Here is a list released by the Army Corps of Engineers of the  campgrounds and boat ramp areas that will be affected:

Georgia Park

Rocky Point Park

Earl Cook Park

Dewberry Park

Anderson Park

Yellowjacket Park

R. Shaefer Heard Campground

Whitetail Ridge Campground

Holiday Campground

The Army Corps of Engineers says some of the parks may be temporarily closed while the work is underway. The work will continue during the month of September and should be finished by the end of the month.
