Burglary suspect arrested in Auburn

AUBURN, Ala. -

Auburn Police arrested Jake Nelson Whiteman, 19, Thursday on burglary charges.

The arrest comes after a burglary complaint received on Sept. 12 from the 1600 Block of S College Street in Auburn.

The burglary occurred around 2:30 a.m. Thursday. Auburn Police developed Whiteman as a suspect and took him into custody at 2:45 p.m. the same day. 

Whiteman was charged with a felony count of Burglary Third Degree and a misdemeanor count Theft of Property Third Degree, and transported to the Lee County Jail. His bond was set for $4000.00.
