Update: Two men in custody after Pitt County mobile home park shooting

GREENVILLE, N.C. -

Deputies have arrested two men in connection with a weekend shooing at a Pitt County mobile home park.

Deputies say 24-year-old Johnta Montrece Barnhill-Sherrod turned himself him Monday afternoon. They arrested Cornelious Keyes four hours later. Deputies believe these two men are responsible for shooting a man Sunday night on Pam Drive.

Deputies believe a dispute, over a girl, may have led to the fight.

The victim, Don Lawrence, is still in the hospital and family members tell us he cannot breath on his own because a bullet hit his lung. Deputies believe he was not the intended target.

Deputies are still looking for two other people involved. 

Barnhill-Sherrod is charged with attempted murder. He's in the Pitt County Detention Center under a $1 million bond. We're working to gather more details on Keyes' charges.

The Pitt County Sheriff's Office is looking for four people after a late-night shooting sends one man to the hospital.

Deputies say the shooting happened on Pam Drive just after 10:30 p.m. on Sunday. Deputies believe a dispute, over girl, may have led to the fight.

Deputies say during the dispute, two suspects pulled out a gun and started shooting. Witnesses say the two people passed the gun back and forth alternating shots.

Deputies say one man was shot in the back while trying to run away from the shooting. Family members tell 9 On Your Side the man shot was Don Lawrence of Pitt County. They say he is expected to be ok, but was undergoing surgery.  

Deputies say during the dispute a truck was hit by bullet. They also say someone driving a white truck tried to stop the suspects from driving away by ramming into the get-a-away car, but was unsuccessful. 

Deputies say two of the suspects, who were in a driving a get-a-way car, picked up the two other shooting suspects and drove away.
