MACON, Ga. -

The FBI arrested a 59-year old Arkansas man today who has been indicted for making a bomb threat to Carmike Cinemas.  The arrest was announced by U.S. Attorney Michael Moore with the Middle District of Georgia.

Keith Bowers was indicted Friday and charged with transmitting threats in interstate commerce.

The indictment alleges that Bowers made a threatening phone call on August 16, 2012 from Texas to Carmike headquarters in Columbus, Ga.  During that call Bowers reportedly threatened to detonate an explosive device during a movie at one of Carmike's theaters.

Bowers faces a maximum penalty of five years in jail and a fine of $250,000 if convicted.
