BENTON HARBOR, Mich., Sept. 18, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Continuing its year-round sponsorship of major culinary festivals nationwide, KitchenAid will help shine a spotlight on the chefs and regional flavors of Portland and Nashville next weekend. As official appliance sponsor of the September 19–22 Feast Portland and first annual Music City Eats: Nashville Food, Wine and Spirits Festival, taking place September 21–22, KitchenAid has outfitted complete kitchen stages for demonstrations by celebrity and local chefs.
"Portland and Nashville join Aspen, Austin, Miami and New York as hosts of KitchenAid-sponsored festivals that introduce new flavors, products and culinary techniques to home cooks," says Beth Robinson, senior brand experience manager for KitchenAid. "We love it when attendees tell us they've been inspired to take on new challenges in their own kitchens."
Over the course of four days, Feast Portland will give food and wine enthusiasts a chance to enjoy dozens of the region's most celebrated wineries, breweries and artisanal food exhibitors. A KitchenAid display in the Oregon Bounty Grand Tasting will feature the Pro Line® Series appliance collection and new Plumberry and Canopy Green colored stand mixers. The demonstration stage will be outfitted with the brand's latest major and small appliances, including a convection double-wall oven with Even-Heat™ technology and commercial-style gas rangetop. Chefs scheduled to demonstrate their talents include Chris Cosentino, Gabriel Rucker and Jenn Louis.
Net proceeds from Feast Portland will be donated to Partners for a Hunger Free Oregon and Share Our Strength. For more information or to purchase tickets visit FeastPortland.com.
