Final Junior League Attic Sale is on Saturday

Posted: Updated:
COLUMBUS, Ga. -

For 59 years, the Junior League Attic Sale has been an annual tradition. That is ending this weekend with the last planned Attic Sale for the Columbus organization. The fundraiser typically brings out bargain hunters on a September weekend to grab up goods collected by members of the Junior League. The money raised has been used for various community projects in the Columbus area. Spokesperson Carrie Sigman tells News 3 that the Attic Sale will be replaced by another fundraiser, but what that will be has not been decided yet. She says that changing roles for women in the organization has made it more difficult for them to volunteer the necessary time to set up the Attic Sale. If you want to go, the final sale will be at the Columbus Convention and Trade Center on Saturday, September 21. Doors open at 8 a.m. EDT and close at 2 p.m. EDT. Admission is $2/$1 for military.
