Store Employee Chases Armed Robbers

Posted: Updated:
MOBILE, Alabama -
Brian Johnson showed up to work at Quick Pawn Shop in Mobile on Friday just like any other day. He was only on the clock for 15 minutes when the store was robbed.

"We got held at gunpoint, got robbed. 60 seconds later the guys that held us at gunpoint left," said Johnson.

The men took off with numerous weapons, including a stack of rifles and a backpack of pistols that still had the price tags on them. The store employee wasn't letting them get away with his merchandise.

"I pursued after them, I rear-ended them," said Johnson.

The employee slammed into the suspect's car with his truck. The men were forced to stop. A few moments later Mobile Police showed up, arresting the two suspects.

"I wasn't afraid. My military experiences in my past, I have 15 years as an MP, I work for the City of Mobile, I just took action. No hesitation. I knew what I had to do. I did it. I saved the day," said Johnson.
