Vigil held for Columbus man shot inside his car

COLUMBUS, Ga. -

More than 100 people gathered for a vigil Sunday night to remember a 34-year-old man shot to death inside his car.

David Scott was fatally shot last Thursday night near the intersection of 7th Street and Coolidge Avenue. That is where the vigil took place.

Family and friends prayed and called for justice. "I put this together because I know David Scott didn't bother nobody. He was quiet, laid back, there wasn't a person he couldn't get to know and love him in just one second," said his cousin, Antronette Scott.

There are still no suspects in the killing. Police believe the murder may be linked to other shootings that happened in the area the same night.
