LaGRANGE, Ga. -

Over $60,000 of meth and $15,000 of cash were recovered from a LaGrange home last week, police told News 3 late Monday.

Local and state authorities went to the home, located at 304 D Hill Street, Wednesday after several months of investigating what they believed to be a meth trafficking site. Inside the home, which is located near a school, authorities recovered 18.5 ounces of drugs with a total street value of $56,000. Also inside, officials recovered the cash.

One of the suspects, Anthony Moore, was arrested after arriving home to the house while authorities were executing the search warrant. He was found to be possession of two ounces of meth, which police say has a street value of $7,000.

The second suspect, Gene Thomas, was located during a traffic stop Saturday and arrested on outstanding warrants.

Both Moore and Thomas are being held on charges including trafficking methamphetamine. A third suspect is no longer being pursued by police in connection with this case.
