Troy University fraternity suspended for hazing

TROY, Ala. -

A Troy University fraternity is suspended after allegations of hazing.

Six members of the Pi Kappa Phi fraternity are accused of tying a pledge to a tree and covering him in eggs, dirt and tobacco spit.

University leaders say the dean could put the students involved on probation, give them community service or an education project, or even send them to a judicial review board.

Three will be expelled and three will be suspended. For the three suspended, they could re-gain full fraternity membership.

The entire fraternity is on suspension, meaning no social functions, until the university and national Pi Kappa Phi organization deliver their list of sanctions sometime this week.
