Phoebe Sumter to host breast cancer awareness walk

The 10th Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Walk will take place on Saturday, October 19th in downtown Americus. 

According to a news release, "The keynote speaker will be Kristin T. Collier, MD (General Surgeon), a member of Phoebe Sumter Surgical Associates. Dr. Collier's main focus is comprehensive care of female patients, which includes breast surgery for cancer and benign breast disease.  The special guest will be TV & Radio Personality Ebony Steele, known for her role on the Rickey Smiley Morning Radio Show and she is also a breast cancer survivor."

Registration starts at 8am. The walk starts an hour later at 9am.
