OPELIKA, Ala. -

Opelika police need your help locating a burglary suspect.

On Thursday a burglary occurred at the Grub Mart on Lafayette Parkway between 3 and 4 a.m.

An employee showed up for work and noticed the front door glass broken out. The police were notified and searched the building, but no one was inside. Cash and several boxes of cigars were taken from the store.

Video surveillance showed a black male wearing a dark colored hoodie sweatshirt and blue jean shorts in the store.

Anyone with information about the identity of the suspect is encouraged to call the Opelika Police Department Investigative Services Division at (334) 705-5220 or they may call the Secret Witness Hotline at (334) 745-8665.
