A child was injured in LaGrange Saturday afternoon when she was struck by a car.

Police said the six-year-old was trying to cross Handley Street to meet her friends around 12:30 p.m. when a 2006 Honda Civic struck her. Witnesses said the child did not look before she entered the roadway and ran between two parked cars.

She was flown to Egleston Children's Hospital to be treated for her injuries. An update on her condition is not available at this time.
