NIAGARA FALLS, NY -

Police say two North Carolina residents who were in Niagara Falls for a wedding are facing murder charges in the shooting death of a 39-year-old woman.

Niagara Falls police were called to an apartment in the city about 3:30 a.m. Saturday after someone reported shots fired. Police found the victim with two gunshot wounds.

They arrested 50-year-old Richard Moore and 42-year-old Cammesoa Williams at the scene and charged them with second-degree murder, criminal possession of a weapon and criminal use of a firearm. Both are from Winston-Salem, N.C.

Police say Moore shot the victim in the abdomen after an argument escalated into a physical fight. He and Williams drove off, but police say they came back and Williams shot the victim again.

The victim's name hasn't been released yet.
