Cloudy today, then warmer

A weakening weather system moving in from the west is responsible for considerable cloud cover across East Alabama and to a lesser extent in West Georgia.  Some areas could see a bit of light rain today, though any measurable amounts should be very light.

The system to our west will fizzle out over the next day or two, and with high pressure stuck over the southern Appalachians we should have some decent weather starting Tuesday.  Highs will climb to the middle and possible upper 80s by week's end, and lows will be warmer as moisture makes a comeback.

A stronger cold front is expected to move in on Saturday, bringing much better chances for showers and thunderstorms followed by a surge of cooler air that will bring more October-like temperatures.
