Government shutdown to have limited impact on Georgia DOL services

Posted: Updated:
ATLANTA, Ga. -

The Georgia Department of Labor says the federal government shutdown is expected to have limited impact on their services to the public.

All GDOL career centers will continue to operate on their normal schedule, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.  All customers are encouraged to keep their appointments with GDOL staff.

The Department of Labor says the shutdown will not affect the payments of regular state umeployment insurance benefits or federal emergency employment insurance compensation.

The release of Georgia's state and local unemployment rates could be delayed if the government shutdown continues.
