Delta Airlines is lightening the load of its 11-thousand pilots.
The airline is buying all of them Microsoft Surface 2 tablets.
They will replace the heavy paper-based flight kits pilots currently use.
Delta says the move will save the airline about 13 million dollars a year in fuel and other costs.
Pilots flying the Boeing 757 and Boeing 767 fleets will receive the tablets first later this year.
The rest of the pilots will get them by the end of 2014.
