CSU assisting military personnel during shutdown

COLUMBUS, Ga. -

Columbus State University said they're dedicated to helping troops during the government shutdown. Since the shutdown Go Army Ed Tuition Assistance is suspended.

In a press release sent Tuesday, CSU President Tim Mescon said they will allow authorized military personnel to be admitted, register and attend class pending reinstatement of military tuition assistance.

If tuition assistance is not forthcoming this semester CSU said military personnel who enrolled during the current situation will not be required to pay out of pocket for the classes taken this semester.

Officials said they will continue to monitor the situation as it evolves.
