AMERICUS, Ga. -

An arrest has been made in the Wednesday shooting of a man attending his mother's funeral in Sumter County.

Cason is accused of shooting Jack Aycock. He was at Concord Methodist Church when authorities believe the mother of his estranged wife, Cason,  shot him in the chest around 3 p.m. Wednesday.

Aycock  is in the hospital. Cason is being held at the Sumter County Jail awaiting a bond hearing.
