Clinton-Dix received money, Bama assistant put on leave

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -

Alabama has proposed a 1-3 game suspension for safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix after the school self-reported a rules violation, according to the Tuscaloosa News.

The paper is reporting Clinton-Dix received an impermissible benefit in the form of a loan of less than $500 from assistant strength and conditioning coach Corey Harris, who has been placed on administrative leave.

This comes a day after Nick Saban announced Clinton-Dix would be "suspended indefinitely for violation of team rules and policies." A source told CBS Sports that this was not a penalty that could cost the safety the rest of the season.

Alabama faces Georgia State this week, then travels to Kentucky and hosts Arkansas over the next three games.
