Government postpones key monthly jobs report

The government shutdown claims another victim the monthly jobs report.

The Department of Labor confirms the employment data scheduled to be released on Friday will not be released.

Officials say they're too short-handed to get the information out.

The last time a jobs report was delayed happened in 1996. during another government shutdown.

That data came out two weeks later.

No word on when or if this report will eventually be released.

Analysts predict the country's unemployment rate for September would be 7.3.
