CHARLOTTE, N.C. -

The Panthers announced they've signed wide receiver Marvin McNutt and center Brian Folkerts to the 53-man roster.

The moves were announced Wednesday.

McNutt had been with the Miami Dolphins' practice squad.

Folkerts was on Carolina's practice squad.

The 6-foot-2, 215-pound McNutt was a sixth-round draft choice by the Philadelphia Eagles in 2012. He played in four games last year as a rookie for the Eagles after beginning the season on the team's practice squad.

McNutt and Folkerts take the place of recently waived wide receiver Armanti Edwards and linebacker Ben Jacobs. The team announced Jacobs and linebacker Jeff Tarpinian have been signed to the practice squad.

The Panthers travel to face the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday.
